This session will discuss the critical differences between Born for DevOps / Cloud CI and pre-DevOps & Cloud CI that make it a better choice for Infor's SaaS development teams.  We capitalize on Gitlab CIs Born for DevOps & Cloud heritage by providing an automation template to enable teams to rapidly deploy Gitlab CI in a highly available, scalable, secure and cost-efficient way that leverages spot instances in autoscaling groups on AWS.  We are migrating from Jenkins AWS configurations that attempted to provide similar benefits - so the session will highlight where Gitlab CI's Born for DevOps & Cloud heritage dramatically accelerates and simplifies providing these capabilities.

Logging and Data analysis are intrisincally tied. From an operational perspective, backend storage must be aligned in order to centralize the data. Traditional data analysis is not fast enough for modern needs. Pushing logs to aggregators for processing is time-consuming and slows the feedback loop. There are plenty of opportunities to improve data analysis time while the data is still in motion. In this presentation, Eduardo will discuss data processing patterns and how this new approach of Stream Processing on the Edge can be used for faster data availability and smaller feedback loops in distributed environments. In this talk, Cory will show how much time his team has saved by having a proper CI and Release setup and how other small teams can do the same.
